The Faculty of Science at Yarmouk University hosted the official launch ceremony of the “Elite Team” in the north, under the slogan “From the Faculty of Science, the Elite is Born”, with distinguished academic and student attendance, and the participation of prominent professors and scientific figures.
The ceremony began with an introduction welcoming the audience and emphasizing the importance of student scientific initiatives in building an aware and distinguished academic generation, capable of representing the university honorably in various scientific and intellectual fields.
The founder and leader of the Elite Team, student Arab Obeidallah Al-Bazour, delivered a speech expressing the team’s vision and goals, stressing that the Elite Team was established to be a scientific platform bringing together ambitious and creative students, contributing to the development of the academic and research environment, and enhancing teamwork and excellence.
The ceremony included honoring several academic and administrative contributors in recognition of their role in supporting students and the scientific journey:
- Ahmad Al-Sharifin, Dean of Student Affairs.
- Muheeb Awwad, Dean of the Faculty of Science.
- Mulham Eyadeh, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Science.
- Wathiq Bani Doumi, Head of the Mathematics Department.
- Mohammad Al-Rifai.
- Ahmad Al-Salman.
- Mohammad Al-Arroud, Academic Supervisor of the Elite Team.
The event featured diverse scientific segments presented by members of the team’s academic section:
- Student Hamza Al-Suqour presented a segment in Biology.
- Student Mohammad Al-Khattabeh presented in Chemistry.
- Student Enas Smadi presented in Mathematics and Finance.
- Students Laith and Batoul Obeidat presented in Physics.
- Student Alaa Khadraoui presented in Statistics.
A specialized scientific segment on fractional calculus was presented by students Arab Obeidallah Al-Bazour and Ali Abu Zubeida, under the supervision of Prof. Mohammad Al-Rifai, offering a simplified introduction to this modern mathematical field and its key applications.
On the statistical side, the Future Vision Team, in collaboration with the Elite Team, organized a statistical session highlighting the importance of statistical analysis and its role across scientific and research domains.
The ceremony concluded with an inspiring awareness lecture by motivational speaker Youssef Halloum, who shared motivational and educational messages focusing on self-development and creating positive impact among university youth.
This ceremony reaffirmed the pioneering role of the Faculty of Science in supporting youth talents and promoting scientific initiatives that build an outstanding academic environment, combining science, leadership, and sound management to spotlight the potential of students in the Faculty of Science.
