As part of its efforts to enhance the quality of education and align its outcomes with the requirements of the labor market, the Faculty of Science has announced the formation of an Advisory Council comprising distinguished academics and experts from various scientific and professional sectors.
The council includes the following members:
- Professor Firas Afaneh – Commissioner of Nuclear Sciences at the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission and Chairman of the Jordanian National Committee for the Synchrotron Center.
- Muneeb Ahmad Suleiman Rawashdeh.
- Mahmoud Al-Shurman – Executive Director of Al-Shurman Medical Devices Company.
- Walid Al-Khatib – Director of Public Opinion Polls and Surveys Department, Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan.
- Bashar Batayneh – Director of Bella Pharmaceutical Industries.
- Sami Telfah – Director of Telfah Trading Company.
- Mohammad Al-Azzam – Administrative Director of Irbid Governorate Council.
- Imad Fakhoury – Director of Al-Mawqea Company.
- Laith Dweikat – Director of Rawabi Al-Farah Company.
The council aims to support the faculty in developing its academic programs, regularly reviewing curricula, and providing insights and recommendations that contribute to preparing graduates capable of competing locally and internationally.
The Faculty administration confirmed that the council will hold regular meetings to discuss ways of improving the educational process and strengthening cooperation between the university and national institutions, ensuring alignment with modern scientific and technological developments.
The formation of this Advisory Council comes as part of the university’s strategy to build effective partnerships with the community and to develop an innovative educational environment that meets the needs of the era.
