Faculty Council of Science, chaired by Professor Dr. Muheeb Awawdeh, met with the College’s Advisory Council in the presence of the University Vice President, Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Naser. The meeting was held as part of the College’s commitment to developing the educational process and enhancing the alignment of its outcomes with labor market requirements.
The participants discussed ways to advance academic programs to keep pace with rapid scientific and technological developments, as well as mechanisms to expand partnerships with various institutions and sectors. These efforts aim to provide students with quality training opportunities, strengthen applied scientific research, and reduce the gap between educational outcomes and labor market needs, in addition to developing curricula and study plans to improve the efficiency and quality of academic programs.
The meeting featured valuable contributions from members of the Advisory Council, College Council, and the University Vice President. A range of ideas and proposals were presented, focusing on strengthening cooperation with partners across different sectors, fostering students’ practical skills, enhancing the College’s role in serving the community, and encouraging applied scientific research to address technical and industrial challenges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees emphasized the importance of continued communication and coordination between the College and its Advisory Council to achieve the desired developmental goals of the educational process, and to reinforce the College of Science’s academic, research, and societal role.
It is noteworthy that the Advisory Council of the College of Science includes ten members representing industrial, technological, commercial, and governmental sectors relevant to the academic fields of the College.
