In a warm Ramadan atmosphere filled with spirituality and fellowship, the College of Science organized its annual Ramadan Iftar, attended by the University Vice President, Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Naser, and the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Moheeb Awawdeh, along with members of the College’s Advisory Council, faculty and administrative staff, and a large gathering of students whose presence added vitality and special interaction to the event.
The gathering provided an opportunity to strengthen bonds of communication and brotherhood among the College family—faculty, staff, and students—within the values of the blessed month of Ramadan, reflecting meanings of love, solidarity, and human closeness.
To add joy and engagement, the evening included a cultural and entertainment competition for students featuring religious and cultural questions, organized by Professor Dr. Molhem Obeidat, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, under the supervision of Dr. Layali Al-Quraan, Dr. Taghreed Al-Jizawi, and Lecturer Abdul Ghani Jaradat. The competition witnessed great enthusiasm and positive spirit from the students, and concluded with honoring the winners with symbolic gifts that spread happiness among the attendees.
Afterward, participants shared the Iftar meal in a family-like atmosphere of warmth and harmony, exchanging friendly conversations and enjoying traditional Ramadan dishes.
At the end of the evening, attendees exchanged greetings and well-wishes for the acceptance of fasting and good deeds, affirming the importance of such gatherings in strengthening bonds of love and belonging within the university community. Several students expressed their joy at participating in this event, which allowed them to connect with their professors outside the classroom setting, while faculty members praised the level of organization and the positive atmosphere that prevailed.
The annual Iftar reflects the College of Science’s commitment to instilling human and social values alongside its academic mission, making this Ramadan tradition a yearly occasion that unites the College family in an atmosphere of closeness and communication.
