Dr. Ruwayda Al-Ma'aita, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Yarmouk University, along with Professor Islam Massad, President of the University, sponsored a ceremony to honor outstanding researchers at the university. The event took place at the Conferences and Seminars Building. This ceremony was distinguished by honoring faculty members who demonstrated exceptional research achievements within their respective colleges, based on the number of published research papers indexed in the global Scopus database from 2019 to 2023.
The honorees were:
- Dr. Baha' Tarad from the Department of Biological Sciences.
- Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Omari from the Department of Mathematics.
- Dr. Rashid Abu Dawas from the Department of Mathematics.
- Dr. Mahmoud Al-Qudah from the Department of Chemistry.
Additionally, a special recognition was given to the Department of Statistics in the Faculty of Science for obtaining American accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). This achievement reflects the department's academic and research excellence and reaffirms the university's commitment to global standards of scientific distinction.
