The Faculty of Science at Yarmouk University organized a scientific trip for students enrolled in the Life Technology course in the Department of Life Sciences to the Golden Biotechnology Company in Amman. The trip was supervised by Dr. Rabiah Rawashdeh and aimed to enhance the students' knowledge in their field of study, as well as to introduce them to the operations of private companies and how they are established.
The students were welcomed by Ms. Alaa Amin, who, along with Mr. Yazan Khawaldeh, delivered an introductory lecture on the company's origins and its accredited services, which are recognized by national and international organizations. These services include calibration of laboratory equipment, various quality services related to medical laboratories, and testing services offered to the scientific institutions in Jordan.
The students then toured different departments, including the Molecular Biology Lab, Cell and Tissue Culture Lab, Immunology Lab, and Chromatography Lab. Ms. Noha and Ms. Hala provided detailed explanations of the equipment widely used for analyzing genetic material and immunological proteins, as well as methods for studying the effects of pharmaceutical compounds on cancer cells. Through both theoretical and practical demonstrations, students gained a clear understanding of the importance of quality and precision in conducting modern laboratory experiments.
At the end of the tour, students had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on topics such as the company's establishment, its services, and how to pursue career opportunities in the field of biotechnology. All inquiries were addressed warmly and attentively.
It is worth mentioning that one of the company's pioneers and founders is a graduate of Yarmouk University, and he plays a significant role in the company's development and its recognition on both the national and Arab levels.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this trip, with special thanks and respect to the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Amjad Dhaifallah Al-Nasser.
