The Faculty of Science at Yarmouk University had a distinguished representation at the International Scientific Conference held in Antalya, Turkey, during the period 12–15 November 2025. Dr. Tareq Al-Shoboul from the Department of Scientific Service Courses delivered a scientific lecture titled:
“Molecular Docking Studies, Schiff Base Ligands, Transition Metal Complexes, Antibacterial Evaluation, DFT Calculations”
The lecture presented advanced research findings in the fields of organic, inorganic, and computational chemistry, with a focus on the use of molecular simulation techniques (Molecular Docking) and Density Functional Theory (DFT) to study the interactions of Schiff base derivatives and their metal complexes with selected biological enzymes, in addition to evaluating the antibacterial activity of these compounds.
The conference also provided Dr. Tareq Al-Shoboul with the opportunity to engage with leading researchers and scientists from various international universities and to explore prospects for future research collaboration. Such participation enhances Yarmouk University’s presence in international scientific forums and contributes to elevating the quality of its research output.
This participation comes as part of the Faculty of Science’s ongoing commitment to supporting researchers and encouraging them to contribute effectively to international meetings and conferences that reflect the latest scientific developments.
