The first-year secondary students at Zaher School carried out an educational visit to the Department of Physics at Yarmouk University on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, as part of the purposeful cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Yarmouk University, which aims to enhance students’ skills and connect them with the academic environment.
During the visit, the students toured the department’s astronomical observatory, where they received an explanation about how telescopes work and the methods of observing celestial bodies.
The tour also included a visit to the Meteorology Unit, where the students listened to a detailed explanation about the instruments used to measure weather elements and their importance in forecasting atmospheric conditions.
The visit was supervised by Professor Hamed Hamadneh from the Department of Physics, accompanied by administrators Abeer Al-Jarrah and Omar Shatnawi. The university affirms its commitment to strengthening cooperation with local community institutions and supporting programs aimed at developing students’ scientific knowledge.
