The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Yarmouk University held an orientation event for its new students for the academic year 2025/2026 on Sunday, November 2, 2025, led by the department chair, Dr. Mohammad Al-Qudah, aiming to introduce students to departmental systems and provide academic guidance.
Where Dr. Mohammad Al-Qudah, the department chair, presented an overview of the academic plan and stressed the importance of adhering to study requirements, reaffirming the department’s dedication to guiding and assisting students from the start of their university journey.


The event opened with a welcoming speech by Ms. Safaa Khashashneh, who welcomed the new students and wished them a successful and productive academic year.
Where Ms. Khansaa Mryan spoke about the administrative procedures students need within the department, guiding them on how to complete their academic and administrative processes properly, and emphasizing the department’s readiness to provide assistance and answer students’ inquiries at any time.
The event also included an introductory tour of the department’s laboratories, led by technical staff members — Ms. Ghusoun Zaiter, Ms. Hadeel Harzallah, and Mr. Abdulrahim Al-Sleiman — who provided an overview of laboratory work and safety regulations.
The session concluded with a presentation by Abeer Al-Zoubi and Abeer Al-Hamad on registration procedures, followed by a brief informal gathering that fostered a warm, collegial atmosphere reflecting the family spirit of the department.
