The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Yarmouk University held an orientation event for its new students for the academic year 2025/2026 on Sunday, November 2, 2025. The event aimed to introduce students to departmental systems and provide academic guidance.
The event opened with a welcoming speech by Ms. Safaa Kheshashneh, who expressed her happiness at welcoming the new students to the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. She emphasized the university’s commitment to fostering an inspiring and supportive academic environment, wishing the students a successful and rewarding academic year.


Dr. Mohammad Al-Qudah, the department chair, presented an overview of the academic plan and stressed the importance of adhering to study requirements, reaffirming the department’s dedication to guiding and assisting students from the start of their university journey.
The event also included a tour of the department’s laboratories, where members of the academic and technical staff, including Ghusoun Zaiter, Hadeel Harzallah, and Abdulrahim Al-Sleiman, introduced students to laboratory practices and safety procedures.
The session concluded with a presentation by Abeer Al-Zoubi and Abeer Al-Hamad on registration procedures, followed by a brief informal gathering that fostered a warm, collegial atmosphere reflecting the family spirit of the department.
